SeaART2009 

 

SeaART2009 (24 October - November 2009) celebrated art work inspired by the coastal and marine environment, made by artist that live, work or visit North East Kent.

 

The theme “Sea Fish” and “Coastal Environment” was inspired by the Kent Coastal Week theme ‘Fishing and Eating for a Healthy Sea’.   The exhibitions ran from 24 October to 12 November 2009 at the Belgium Café, 4c York Street, Ramsgate Visitor Information Centre and also the Westcliff Boating Pool Gallery over Kent Coastal Week.

 

Various events and activities took place around Ramsgate's Royal Harbour over the weekend of 24 - 25 October - including a series of Scandalmonger storytelling art walks, children art workshops; with additional coastal activities throughout the Autumn half term.

 

SeaART is organised by Thanet Coast Project with the Art Exhibition coordinated by Ramsgate artist Ruth Cutler, working in partnership with the Belgium Cafe, 4c York St, Ramsgate Visitor Information Centre, Westcliff Boating Pool Gallery in Ramsgate.
